Why aren’t I receiving notifications?

If notifications aren’t working:

  1. Check notification permissions (see “How do I enable notifications?” above)
  2. Check Do Not Disturb - Make sure DND isn’t blocking notifications
  3. Check Focus modes - Certain Focus modes may silence app notifications
  4. Check notification settings in app - Ensure reminders are enabled
  5. Restart your iPhone - Sometimes a restart resolves notification issues

If problems persist, try:

  • Deleting and reinstalling the app
  • Toggling notifications off and back on
  • Checking if other apps receive notifications

How many squats should I do?

Desk Jockey recommends 10 squats per session (takes about 45 seconds). This is:

  • Quick enough to fit into your workday
  • Effective for maintaining activity
  • Low risk for desk workers

Important: Only do what’s comfortable for your fitness level. If 10 squats is too many, start with fewer and build up gradually. Always consult a doctor before starting any exercise program.

Can I change the number of squats?

Currently, Desk Jockey is optimized for 10 squats per session. This is based on research showing that short, frequent activity breaks are more sustainable for desk workers than longer sessions.

We may add customizable rep counts in future updates based on user feedback.

Is my data private?

Yes! Desk Jockey is designed with privacy as a priority:

  • No servers - We don’t collect or store your data
  • Local storage - All data stays on your device
  • Optional iCloud - Syncs to YOUR personal iCloud (we can’t access it)
  • No tracking - No analytics or third-party trackers
